Frequently asked questions
- How much does the program cost?
- A: The price varies depending on the type and amount of equipment. Pricing starts at $204.00 plus tax.
- Why would I pay that if I can get regular service for less?
- A: This program is not for everyone, only those folks who want the fastest service anytime, discounts, and extended warranties.
- Won’t I still call you for spring or fall service when I receive the service reminder letter?
- A: Actually no, we will call you to schedule service at your convenience when we are servicing equipment in your part of town. Efficiency on our part means faster service for you when you really need us.
- Does priority repair service mean same day service?
- A: Usually yes on repairs, unless we receive an extremely high volume of calls from our other Comfort 1st Service Agreement customers. However, you can be assured that you will be served ahead of any non-program customers.
- How long does the Comfort 1st Service Agreement last?
- A: The agreement ends June 1st.
- If my unit breaks down after your inspection, do I still have to pay for a service call
- A: Yes, but any repairs are discounted and no emergency service rates would apply. Of course, if one of our repairs fails, then you would be covered by our extended parts and labor warranty.
- If one of my parts fails your inspection, do I have to fix it right away?
- A: No, there is no pressure to change the part immediately, however if the part fails in the evening or the weekend and you want it repaired then, emergency service charges would apply, but you would still receive a discount.
- Why do you plan to service my cooler in February or March before I even need it?
- A: The idea is to do the bulk of the labor-intensive work ahead of time so that we can be there faster in the spring when the heat wave starts.
- Can I be on the program if I only want a cooler, an air conditioner, or a furnace by itself covered?
- A: No, the program is designed for year round comfort that allows us the flexibility to give to our Comfort 1st customers the best service.
- Can I sign up for the program beyond June of next year since I always call you anyway?
- A: Yes, you can sign up to be a Comfort 1st customer for an additional year beyond June 1st.
- What does your serviceman mean when he says my equipment does not qualify for the program?
- A: Equipment that is unsafe, mis-matched, illegally installed, a type known by us to have repeated failures, or that is in very poor repair cannot be covered. We can give you a free estimate to correct this condition if you wish.
- If I have several systems in my house, do I get a discount?
- A: Sorry, no, this program already contains significant discounts and we are trying to keep the cost as low as possible.
- Can the Comfort 1st Service Agreement be transferred to the next homeowner?
- A: Yes, it is the equipment itself that is covered.
Quick-Fix Tips:
My heat pump builds up a coating of ice on it, should I call a repairman?

During normal operation, your heat pump is busy extracting that heat and during very cold weather causes a coating of frost ...
